PM arrives in Yemen
SANA'A, Dec. 10(Saba)-The Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz arrived Sunday
in Sana'a in a three-day official visit. During his visit, the Pakistani official
would hold meetings with Yemeni top officials on the bilateral ties and means
of developing cooperation in various domains, in addition to discuss international
and regional issues of common concern.

Yemen, Pakistan talk on security cooperation
Sana'a, Dec. 11(Saba)- Deputy interior minister Rashad al-Masri met on Monday
with Pakistani interior minister Aftab Sherpao for talks over security cooperation.
The two sides discussed also means to coordinate efforts in terms of fighting
against terror, smuggling drugs and exchanging expertise in accordance with
a security agreement recently signed between the two countries.
Al-Masri confirmed the keenness of Yemen to get benefit form the Pakistani expertise
in fighting riots and how to tackle citizens' dealings.
Pakistani official invited Yemeni officials to visit Pakistan.

President receives Pakistani PM
ADEN, Dec. 11(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Monday in Aden
visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. The Pakistani official conveyed
greetings of Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf and wishes of good health
and happiness to President Saleh and more progress for the Yemeni people.
They discussed fraternal relations between Yemen and Pakistan and means to strengthen
cooperation in field of economy, culture and security. The discussions also
came across the regional and international issues of common of both countries
and the Islamic nation. President Saleh was briefed on the results of the Pakistani
official's meetings with Yemeni officials to expand horizons of mutual cooperation
between the two nations. President Saleh welcomed Aziz in his visit to Yemen,
pointing out that this visit comes within the framework of exchanging visits
between officialsof both countries. He said that his last visit to Pakistan
contributed in pushing Yemeni-Pakistani ties forward, and increasing the size
of commercial exchange to be doubled. He confirmed that the Yemeni-Pakistani
bonds go under the title of brotherhood, assuring Aziz of Yemen's interest in
reinforcing and developing these shared relations in various domains. For his
part, the Pakistani Prime Minister voiced his happiness to visit Yemen and also
towards the results reached by meetings with Yemeni officials. He asserted his
country's strong willingness to intensify and improve relations with Yemen and
to push cooperation fields ahead. President Saleh's visit to Pakistan, last
April, as well as the visit of president Musharraf to Yemen, in December 2005,
contributed to strengthening mutual relations between the two countries, Aziz
said.

Trade minister talks with Pakistani prime minister
SANAA, Dec. 11(Saba)- Minister of Trade and Industry Khalid Sheikh met on Monday
with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz.
Sheikh, who heads Yemeni side in the Yemeni-Pakistani joint committee, discussed
with Aziz means of developing mutual trade relations and investment opportunities
in Yemen.
Aziz praised Yemeni-Pakistani ties which he described as "distinguished
and historical". He expressed hope that relations witness more development.
Sheikh explained the investment chances in Yemen welcoming Pakistani investments
in Yemen in different fields.

Yemen, Pakistan sign cooperation agreements
SANA'A, Dec. 12(Saba)- Yemen and Pakistan signed on Tuesday four agreements
and an memorandum of understanding to develop mutual cooperation in agriculture,trade,
education and culture between the two nations. The agreements were signed in
Sana'a after a second round of formal talks between two Prime Ministers of both
countries. The two officials expressedhope that these agreements will further
strengthen ties between the two countries.
The two sides discussed security cooperation, particularly in fighting terrorism,
training, and exchanging experiences. They affirmed importance of activating
economic, investments and educational cooperation between the two countries

Industry minister highlights visit of Pakistani PM
SANA'A, Dec.12 (Saba)-The recent visit of the Pakistani prime minister to Yemen
is considered a significant development in the joint mutual cooperation between
Yemen and Pakistan, minister of industry and trade said. Khaled Sheikh said
that the visit came within the joint desire of both countries to enhance aspects
of the cooperation. He voiced willingness of Yemen to benefit from Pakistani
experiences in fields of agriculture, industry and tourism. Fifth meeting of
Yemeni and Pakistani committee will be held next year at Islamabad, he said.
He said that the agreement of establishing joint Yemeni-Pakistani businessmen
council will enhance trade cooperation between the two countries.

Pakistani Prime Minister Leaves Sana'a
SANA'A, Dec. 12 (Saba)- Pakistani Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz, left Sana'a
Tuesday after two-day talks with Yemeni high ranking officials on bilateral
relations and regional and international issues concerning the two countries.
The Pakistani Prime Minister was seen off by Prime Minister, Abdul-Qader Ba-Jammal,
Minister of Education, Abdusslam Al-Joufi, Pakistani ambassador to Sana'a and
a number of officials.
